It’s been a interesting and full two weeks, but I’m glad that I got a break from the 29th-31st, even if it was forced from being sick. I have been editing wedding photos, creating a logo, doing background stuff for my art shop, photographing and adding new product, had a meeting about copywriting assistance, adding more projects to my never ending list, celebrating Halloween with some of my favorite people, playing with my dogs, getting sick and sleeping.
All that down time over the last few days has made me think about my current plans and if they are really workable. I would like to create new artwork, maintain my new shop and blog, rapidly pay off debt, continue working a full-time job, and spend time with my family. After debt is out of the way, I will finally be able go back to school and finish my degree. With the work we have put into this, next year is going to be so awesome. I’ll make it so.
I almost forgot! I made wands! My friend needed Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s wands for Halloween so I used skewers (dulled), hot glue, acrylic paint, and clear coat to create them. I saw the tutorial on Pinterest by Majann last year and have been wanting to try it. It was a lot of fun and yes, the first one was a total disaster, but it’s easy once you get the hang of it.
This next week should include attempts to combine two of my drawing styles in an attractive way, starting a series of new artwork with that style, updating my networking accounts, cleaning and re-organizing my art room, adding more artwork to my portfolio, and setting up a permanent art photography area.
